CONTINUE CHAPTER 1-ELECTRIC FIELDS

COULOMB’S LAW OF VECTOR FORM
-------------------------------------------
DIELECTRIC CONSTANT
When the charges are situated in any other medium other than free space force between them is given
Where, ɛ is called absolute electrical permittivity of intervening medium.
Dielectric constant of a medium is the ratio of absolute electrical permittivity of the medium to the absolute electrical permittivity of free space
-------------------------------------------
SUPERPOSITION PRINCIPLE
This principle states that force on any charge due to number of other charges at rest is the vector sum of all the forces, taken one at a time.
The forces due to individual charges are unaffected due to the presence f other charges.
Let there be many forces acting on other force..Then total force is their sum.
